The DS3, launched in 2010, has proved an undeniable success, totalling nearly 180,000 registrations. Boasting enhanced personalisation possibilities with a range of roof collections and the Racing, Ultra Prestige and Just Mat models, the DS3 has played a major part in boosting DS line awareness and success. DS line sales have already topped the 250,000 mark.

The Citroën DS3 Cabrio is above all a real DS3. It features all the strong points behind the success of its sister model, namely bold styling choices, refinement down to the last detail, and instant driving thrills.

Citroën has chosen a modern technical solution for the DS3 Cabrio to underscore the DS3's unique character and retain all of the original model's road feel. Contributing to the personalisation effort, three soft-top roofs are available: black, Infini blue and DS Monogramme. The Citroën DS3 Cabrio is also heir to all the sophistication of the DS line, with an innovative 3D rear light signature and a highly original tailgate opening motion.

The Citroën DS3 Cabrio blazes a trail in the cabriolet segment with a new wave of modernity:

• electrically manoeuvrable roof up to 120 km/h
• the only real 5-seater in the category
• the largest boot in the category

The Citroën DS3 Cabrio, produced at the Poissy production site in France, will be launched in early 2013. A version emitting just 99 g/km of CO2 will be available from release.

Heir to the unique styling of the DS3

The Citroën DS3 Cabrio inherits the strong personality of the hatchback. At 3.95 m long, 1.71 m wide and 1.46 m high, it retains the original's compact proportions, denoting agility and energy. All the customary bold styling choices are present, from the "floating" two-tone roof and shark fin that reinvigorates the car's waist line, to the side recesses that underline the LED daytime running lights and sculpt the car's "face". The architecture of the Citroën DS3 Cabrio is fully in DS3 character. The canvas roof becomes a new source of personalisation with a range of original colours and designs that add to the car's unique personality. The new model also features all-new 3D LED lights at the rear and a chromefinished handle that elegantly highlights the top of the tailgate.

A highly personal and entirely unique automotive object

Citroën DS3 Cabrio owners can personalise the roof, body, rearview mirror housings and wheels. The DS3 is available with ten roof colours: Urban Tribe, Onde, Perle, Zèbre, Map, Plane, Co Design, Flavio, Flower and Graphic Art. With the Citroën DS3 Cabrio, the folding roof becomes a major personalisation point.

The Citroën DS3 Cabrio is available with three roof colours: black, Infini blue and DS Monogramme. Citroën has maintained the distinctive floating roof feature by colouring the rear side panels black and echoing the colour of the soft top on the upper part of the body sides, the front cross strip and the rear spoiler. The decors on the dashboard insert, air vent surrounds and gear stick handle are also colour-coded with the body paint and soft top. Six decors are available: grey, Brillant black, white, Carbotech, Infini blue and Moondust grey.

Refined down to the last detail

The highly sophisticated Infini blue canvas comprises delicate hues of blue and violet. The visual effect is obtained by a weave of three different coloured threads, one of which is shiny. Each thread reacts differently to changes in light to further emphasise the singular personality of the Citroën DS3 Cabrio.

Recalling products from luxury goods companies, the DS logo, synonymous with refinement and elegance, features on the Monogramme canvas roof of the Citroën DS3 Cabrio. The subtle design was achieved by contrasting two Jacquard grey tones with Moondust grey.

The atmosphere on board the Citroën DS3 Cabrio is just as distinctive as the body styling:

• The ceiling-mounted console, home to the roof opening control, features white LED ambiance lighting.
• The instrument cluster and automatic air conditioning displays match the ambient lighting with their white lighting.
• The inner lining of the soft-top roof underscores the high-end feel inside the Citroën DS3 Cabrio and provides topnotch acoustic comfort.
• The Citroën DS3 Cabrio boasts all-new upholstery, including Granit blue leather and Akinen weft now available in Mistral, Chic brown and Infini blue.

Hypnotic 3D LED tail lights

The Citroën DS3 Cabrio has a three-dimensional light signature based on all-new 3D LED tail-light technology. The design of the lights is inspired by those on the Revolte and Survolt concept cars. The central part of the light comprises a rectangular opaline set of 31 LEDs and an ensemble of semi-reflecting mirrors that reflect the light guide into infinity. The 3D unit lights up at night when the headlamps are turned on and in daylight when the driver brakes. A 15-LED blade on the upper part of the light emphasises the 3D unit and serves as a side and stopping light. In an elegant piece of detailing, the 3D light features a chrome-finished DS logo set in an embossed black DS setting.

The road feel of a real DS3

While most convertibles weigh in at some 100 kg more than the regular model, the Citroën DS3 Cabrio is just 25 kg heavier than the DS3 hatchback. The optimised architecture of the cabriolet model retains all of the agility and responsiveness of the original. Citroën engineers have managed to give the DS3 Cabrio the rigidity of the hatchback, notably by using the same architecture for the sides and adding structural reinforcements around the boot. Equipped with the same technical base as the regular DS3 - i.e. structural components and running gear - the Cabrio keeps all of the eager handling that makes the DS3 such a treat to drive while at the same time offering topnotch control and safety. The Citroën DS3 Cabrio brings the driver into "contact with the road" for amazing ease in corners and bends.

Designed to make cabriolets easier

The Citroën DS3 Cabrio was designed to bring occupants pleasure with no compromises. It combines the advantages of a classic cabriolet with the strong points of a hatchback.

Top-down driving has never been this easy:

• The roof takes just 16 seconds to fully close, at speeds of up to 120 km/h. Motorists open and close the roof with a button in the ceiling console offering three opening positions: intermediate, horizontal and total. Even in horizontal setting, the soft top folds back behind the rear passengers so they get a completely clear view.
• Engineers worked particularly hard on acoustics. First, by choosing top-quality canvas, with standard-setting soundproofing, comparable to that of a hatchback when closed. But also by designing an aerodynamic deflector net for optimum acoustic comfort with the canvas roof open. This component springs into action as soon as the roof opens, deflecting air currents and preventing air buffeting.
• The design is also less invasive in terms of cabin space. The Citroën DS3 Cabrio has five real seats and the largest boot in its category, at 245 litres. In a breakthrough in the segment, it has the same cabin space as its hatchback sister. And even retains the 60/40 split-folding rear bench, handy for a range of everyday needs. The tailgate has a particularly original opening path (circular motion), which enables motorists to fully open the boot no matter what the space behind (for example, when parked rear to wall).
• Work on aerodynamics has resulted in an SCx of 0.69 m2, identical to that of the hatchback, which enhances performance but also helps to reduce CO2 emissions. More specifically, the impressive result was obtained by adding a long spoiler and aerodynamic deflectors on the quarter-light surrounds.

More than 100,000 new Citroën C4 vehicles have rolled of the assembly line since the model was launched one year ago. Following on from this commercial success, the Marque is now extending its C4 range with an original model: the Citroën C4 Aircross. This new vehicle reviews the conventional cues of compact SUV design. By combining style and technological innovation in a single car, the Citroën C4 Aircross is ideally suited to modern lifestyles that introduce a sense of escape into everyday activities. This new body style draws upon the Marque's technological excellence, combining the grip of an off-roader with the ride and driveability of a saloon. Available in 2-wheel and 4-wheel drive versions, depending on the engine, the Citroën C4 Aircross will be launched in the first half of 2012 and will be one of the front-runners in its segment in terms of CO2 emissions.

The styling of the Citroën C4 Aircross draws upon the Marque's DNA, combining the vitality of the other models in the range with the powerful styling of an off-roader.

The distinctive styling includes a front end of horizontal lines with aerodynamic vents at the extremities, accentuating the vehicle's compact appearance. The contours of the bonnet, which is visible from the driver's seat, the wide wheel arches and the reduced overhang all enhance the impression of robustness produced by this unique silhouette.

Close attention went into every detail and each part is designed to combine style and performance. The Citroën C4 Aircross' light signature, visible by day and at night, is formed by the LEDs at the front, which are vertically aligned in the aerodynamic vents. The shape of the large 18-inch wheels and the rear lights, directly inspired by the Hypnos concept car, has been reworked for optimal air flow and reduced CO2 emissions.

The sophisticated design of the Citroën C4 Aircross includes repeater lights in the door mirrors, light guides in the rear lights and a rearview camera built into the chrome trim on the tailgate.

The expressive style draws upon Citroën's distinctive design cues. Seen from the side, the inverted shark fin wing, which also hints at the glass side surfaces of the Hypnos concept car, is decorated with a chrome compass to show that the model is a member of the brand's SUV family.

A smart vehicle with transmission to suit all needs

With its latest-generation four-wheel transmission system, Citroën C4 Aircross boasts perfect roadholding under all conditions. This technology allows the car to be driven permanently in four-wheel drive mode, while the torque is optimally distributed between the front and rear wheels.

Using the single control positioned behind the gear lever, drivers can manually select one of the three transmission modes to meet their needs and their wishes: 2WD for optimal fuel consumption, 4WD,

which automatically distributes the torque between the front and rear axles, or lock mode, which increases the torque transmitted to the rear wheels for more grip under severe conditions.

Standard-setting CO2 emissions

Citroën C4 Aircross fulfils the brand's commitments to environmental protection with its HDi 110 engine, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, making this model is one of the front-runners in its segment in terms of CO2 emissions. And the HDi 110 engine will be available with 2WD and 4WD, so that everyone can choose the version that is best suited to their lifestyle.

Right from launch, the Citroën C4 Aircross will also benefit from the performance of the HDi 150 engine (also available with 2WD and 4WD with a 6-speed manual gearbox) and a 115 bhp 1.6i petrol engine (available in a 2WD version with a 5-speed manual gearbox).

Compact, manoeuvrable and a pleasure to drive

With its compact dimensions (4.34m long, 1.79m wide, 1.63m high), the outstandingly manoeuvrable (10.6m turning circle) Citroën C4 Aircross is at home in towns and cities. The comfort of this 5-seater is worthy of a saloon in the next segment up, while the 442-l boot comfortably meets the demands of modern life. The chassis and suspension were specially developed for a drive that is faithful to Citroën's values, offering the ideal compromise between comfort and roadholding.

 The Citroën C-Elysée reaps the full benefits of Citroën expertise in technology and design. Scheduled for launch at end-2012, it demonstrates brand expertise in running gear, quality and technology, as illustrated by the new VTi 72 engine, designed for performance, fuel efficiency and durability. The Citroën C-Elysée was designed first and foremost to meet the needs of international markets.


AN ATTRACTIVE, WELL-BALANCED SALOON

The designers of the Citroën C-Elysée started off with a blank sheet. From the first stroke of the pencil, the aim was to showcase the three-box body style. The result is both attractive and well balanced. The front end immediately identifies the vehicle as a member of the brand family, with a large chrome signature emphasizing the enveloping, ribbed bonnet. The bodywork is both harmonious and eye-catching, conveying a robust sense of presence with a high waistline, wide tracks and strongly curving wings. The Citroën C-Elysée ships in a choice of seven body colours, with chrome detailing depending on the level of trim.

Inside the car, the elegant, robust design is also perceptible to passengers. The executive-style dashboard features a trim strip in front of the front passenger, according to trim. All materials were selected to be not only attractive, but also robust and easy to care for.

Features include air conditioning with a digital display, rear parking sensors, a cruise-control/speed limiter function, and an mp3 car radio with a Bluetooth hands-free kit. It can also be fitted with high-tech equipment geared to the specific requirements of the countries of sale, such as a heated windscreen for Russia and Ukraine. For hot countries, particular attention was paid to the air conditioning, which includes a "Max" function for fast cooling. This high-tech offering will be further expanded in the coming months with a touch-screen GPS, reversing camera, and hands-free access and start-up. A wide range of accessories enables customers to personalise the vehicle exterior with elegant chrome detailing (fog light trim, rearview mirror housings, tail pipe), and to protect the bodywork (transparent bumper protection strips, side mouldings) and interior (wide choice of boot mats or boxes) as well as to increase the loading volume (roof bars, roof basket). In terms of multimedia systems, semi-integrated navigation systems (with no apparent suction pads or cables) provide efficient guidance, while the O'car radio, an innovative solution dedicated to iPhone, lets users talk or listen to music in complete safety while recharging their smartphones. Engines tailored to needs The Citroën C-Elysée ships with the new VTi 72 petrol engine, specially tailored to driving conditions and fuel in international markets. The new-generation powerplant was developed to optimise performance (72 bhp, torque of 110 Nm from 3,000 rpm), fuel consumption (from 5 l/100 km and 115 g/km of CO2, a 22% improvement on the 1.4i engine replaced) and durability, even in severe operating conditions. It can be mated to a five-speed manual or automated gearbox. The new VTi 115 engine, combined with a manual or automatic gearbox, rounds out the petrol range. The Citroën C-Elysée also ships with the HDi 92, a proven diesel engine already produced in more than six million units and combining road car capacity (high torque at low engine speeds) with limited fuel consumption (4.1 l/100 km and 108 g/km of CO2). Citroën has sold more than 180,000 DS line models worldwide since launch. The adventure continues at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show with the reveal of the Citroën DS4 Racing Concept. As with the DS3 Racing, the engineers at Citroën Racing and the styling team have firmly stamped the DS4 with the image of the Brand's racing department.

Making its world debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, the Citroën DS4 Racing Concept features "100% Racing" attributes. The chassis is 35 mm lower than the regular model and track is 55 mm wider at the front and 75 mm wider at the back. The concept car also sports an air diffuser, a front bumper panel, a lower-body belt line and wing extensions. Citroën Racing has tweaked the 1.6-litre turbo engine to develop 256 bhp, or 160 bhp per litre - a record for a series-production car. This spectacular performance comes hand in hand with controlled CO2 emissions of 155 g/km.

Citroën Racing engineers have also redeveloped the running gear with the utmost precision. The concept car is equipped with four-pot, fixed calliper brakes at the front, with special discs widened to 380 mm in diameter, and shod with larger, 19-inch wheels (235/40).

Another stand-out feature of the Citroën DS4 Racing Concept is its matte grey, textured-effect paint - a first in the automotive sector. The grain of the paint catches the light differently and further enhances the body styling, while the colour is sober, modern and robust and ideally suited to a sports car. To refine the exterior aesthetic, the concept car gets a two-tone roof and specially-designed, twotone wheel rims.
